1497235 Rinsing machine KUPPERSBUSCH AG 11 March 1976 [18 March 1975] 9738/76 Heading A4F A rinsing machine suitable for rinsing trays, crockery, and cutlery comprises a rinsing zone 9, an endless link belt conveyer for transporting the above articles through the rinsing zone, and a belt conveyer 1 for feeding said articles to conveyer 6, conveyer 6 being divided into regions A, B, and C, region B being adapted to convey trays and being provided with means for automatically interacting with the trays so as to tilt and entrain them, regions A and C being provided with entraining means to convey plates or saucers and cups or bowls respectively, conveyer 6 also being provided with sieve baskets 16 which receive cutlery on tilting of the trays each sieve basket being pivotably mounted at one edge thereof on the conveyer and being arranged below region B. As shown, trays 4 carrying plates 2, cutlery 3, and cups or bowls 3 are conveyed by belt 1 to loading station 5, where the various articles are placed in the appropriate regions A, B, and C, the trays with the cutlery thereon being seized by entrainers 7 and tilted to cause the cutlery to fall into sieve baskets 16. The articles are conveyed through rinsing zone 9 in which they may be sprayed, and then through a drying zone 10. Cutlery is then removed by belt 22 to an automatic wrapping device 23, from which it is conveyed to container 24. The remainder of the articles is passed through a steam chamber 12 before being sorted and stacked in containers 14. As shown in Fig. 3, each sieve basket 16 may be pivotably mounted on a pin 17 or belt 6, and each side thereof may be provided with a roller 18 adapted to roll along a guide track 19 having recesses 20, which cause the basket to tilt, thereby shaking up the cutlery.
