Abstract

817,666. Electricity meters. LANDIS & GYR A.G. April 26, 1957 [April 27, 1956], No. 13380/57. Class 37. A current coil for an electricity meter is embedded in a cast insulating compound which is moulded in a housing having two adjacent sides open, one of them at right-angles to the coil axis. The housing, which may be of moulded plastic, is shown at 1 in Fig. 1. The parts of each coil are situated above and below the compartments 2 into which polepieces are fitted, and the lead-out connections are made by the strips 6a. The open side opposite to the side 1a is closed by the vertical .plane surface 7 when the compound is poured. The compound is introduced through the open side 4 which has a raised lip 5 to allow for variations in the quantity used and the meniscus left after setting.
