817,303. Bird cages. HYGIENIC WIRE WORKS Ltd., DOWDALL, J. T., and HAYCRAFT, P. E. Jan. 24, 1958 [March 13, 1957], No. 8283/57. Class 5(2). A bird cage comprises a top 14, which slopes upwards from its periphery towards a central aperture 15, removably attached to the walls of the cage. A spider-like member comprising legs 17 welded to a plate 16 is attached to the walls of the cage by means of hooks 18 at the ends of the legs engaging loops 19 fixed to the upper edges of the walls. The plate 16 is slightly larger than the aperture 15 so that the spider-like member can support the top 14, the two being clamped together by a member 21 which also comprises a suspension hook 20. Hooks 26 are provided on the plate 16 for suspending a perch in the cage which may be of circular instead of rectangular cross-section.
