[Also in Group XXXVII] In order to prevent the likelihood of fluid leakage from joints, such as 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Fig. 1, where there is shown a branch pipe t to a pressure switch or indicating-device I in a pneumatic brake system, a pressure-switch, shown in detail in Fig. 4, is incorporated in existing pipe unions of known kind, such as that shown in Fig. 2. If the fluid pressure should fall below a predetermined value, the spring 18 moves plunger 15 to close contacts 13, 14, completing an electric circuit to an indicator or warning device.
