Abstract

815,488. Inductors. VEREINIGTE GLANZSTOFF FABRIKEN A.G. March 1, 1956 [March 3, 1955], No. 6474/56. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVIII] An inductance coil for use in a measurement transmitter has a winding density which varies longitudinally, and a core within the coil, movable under the influence of the medium to be measured, has a length smaller than that of the coil. Fig. 2 shows a stepped coil 6 composed of a number of concentric coils 8, 9, 10, &c., of the same winding density but of different lengths. In Fig. 3 a stepped coil 11 is composed of adjacent coils 12, 13, 14, &c., of increasing winding density. Viewing slots 15 allow visual detection of the core movements. Fig. 1 (not shown) depicts the flow tube of a flow meter containing a core-float, surrounded by a coil of graduated winding density.
