Abstract

814,475. Hydraulic motors. STEINER, C. July 16, 1956, No. 21892/56. Class 69 (2). An hydraulic motor comprises cylinders 11A, 11B containing pistons formed with rack portions meshing with a pinion 32. Liquid is selectively supplied to two diagonally opposite ends of the cylinders and exhausted from the other ends to rotate the pinion. Each end of each piston is provided with a felt wiper ring 30 and a sealing ring 31 beyond which the piston is reduced in diameter. The pinion and rack portions operate in a lubricant bath.
