A tube bending machine comprises a punch member and a die member adapted to be moved relatively to one another to clamp a tube positioned between them, rollers being adjustably supported at each side of said punch and die members and so arranged as to engage portions of the tube protruding on each side of the punch and die members, means being provided for moving the punch and the rollers on each side thereof relatively to the die and its rollers so as to bend the tube. A die a, formed with a groove b to engage a tube i to be bent, is adjustably mounted on a stationary cross-member 1 and grooved rollers j<SP>1</SP>, j<SP>2</SP> are supported one on each side of the die a, so as to be adjustable theretowards, in cheeks l<SP>1</SP>, l<SP>2</SP> fixed to the cross-member 1. A punch g, grooved at h, is adjustably mounted on a cross-member 2, movable towards the die a, and grooved rollers n<SP>1</SP>, n<SP>2</SP>, one on each side of the punch g, are carried by cheeks on the cross-member 2 and are adjustable to and from the punch g. A tube i to be bent is positioned on the punch g and beneath the rollers j<SP>1</SP>, j<SP>2</SP> and the punch is moved towards the die a so that tube is bent downwardly at its ends by the rollers j<SP>1</SP>, j<SP>2</SP> and then, as the rollers n<SP>1</SP>, n<SP>2</SP> contact the tube, it is given its final cranked form, Fig. 4. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 5, the bending is effected in two stages, first the punch g moves while the rollers n<SP>1</SP>, n<SP>2</SP> remain stationary then the rollers n<SP>1</SP>, n<SP>2</SP> are moved by jacks r<SP>1</SP>, r<SP>2</SP> to form the final cranked shape. The tube may be heated to facilitate bending. The central portion C of the bent tube may be made other than straight.
