Class 52(5) A supporting and pleating device for curtains comprises spaced fingers 31, 32, 33, 34 for insertion in hook tubes 28, a suspension hook 41 secured to webs 39, 40 at the lower ends of the fingers, and a pleat-locking element 42 pivotally mounted on the web 39 for movement from an inoperative position shown in Fig. 12 to the operative position shown in Fig. 3, in which the limbs 47, 48 project between adjacent fingers to enter rearwardly extending pleats 22, and a stop bar 44 abuts the hook 41. In modifications the fingers are two in number or are connected in twos by cross bars and the hook 41 is secured to a separate cross bar.
