812,455. Reciprocating motor cores with adjustable means. WAHL CLIPPER CORPORATION. Oct. 8, 1956, No. 30568/56. Class 35. [Also in Groups XIV and XXIV] A screw and nut device 30 for adjusting the mid-point position of the oscillating armature 18, Fig. 1, of an electric hair clipper motor and acting on one of a pair of centralizing springs 25, 26, comprises a primary adjusting screw 32, Fig. 3, adapted to be screwed into and out of the wall 20 to give a primary setting of the armature and a secondary adjustment means in the form of a segment 50 (see also Fig. 2), secured to the screw 32 and co-operating with a pin 47 projecting from wall 20 to provide a limited angular movement. The segment 50 has a portion 40 engaging in a bore of the screw 32 and secured by a holding screw 43. Alternatively the portion 40 may be tapered to snap into a correspondingly tapered bore of screw 32, one or both of these members being of resilient plastic material. Both members have co-operating serrations to prevent relative rotation when assembled together.
