A cutter for a sheep shear has apertures 17, 18 selectively engaged by a pin 19 on an oscillating fork 20 so that the cutter teeth 16a can be adjusted relatively to the concave bevels 11 of the comb teeth 10a to avoid combing too much wool after the cutter teeth have been shortened by grinding. Intermediate adjustment is made by alteration of the screw 13 in the slot 14.
