Abstract

811,187. Seat pedestals. TAN-SAD CHAIR CO. (1931) Ltd. Oct. 14, 1957 [Oct. 19, 1956], No. 31820/56. Classes 52(2) and 52(3) A pedestal is supported on feet moulded preferably from a polyester resin bonded glass fibre material and adapted to be secured together so that the united walls of the mouldings constitute webs for the strengthening of the pedestal. As shown, the outer end of each inverted channel sectioned foot is rounded and the inner end V-shaped so that the feet may be secured together by bolts 8, rivets or adhesive. The tip of the V has an arcuate recess 9 so that when secured together the feet support the pedestal in the socket thus formed. A strengthening plate may be fitted at the end of each foot.
