Abstract

810,752. Cabinets &c. FREEDLAND, M. M., FREEDLAND J., and FREEDLAND, A. Sept. 10, 1957 [Oct. 31, 1956], No. 33184/56. Class 52(1) In knockdown furniture comprising pillars 14 extending vertically at the corners of a base panel 13 and defining a rectangular shape and further pillars 18, the pillars 14, 18 are apertured at intervals and into each aperture is inserted a nut 22, side panels 25 and rear panels 26 being secured to the pillars by screws 27, passing through the panels and entering the nuts 22. The nuts are of malleable material and have a washer 23, the metal of the nut being upset in the aperture so as to provide a flange or collar 24 within the pillar and rivet the nut thereto. Legs 10 and pillars 14, 18 are connected by screwed studs 12, 19 and terminal nuts 21.
