Abstract

810,353. Radar. KELVIN & HUGHES Ltd. Aug. 28, 1957 [Aug. 31, 1956], No. 26748/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (7). A radar monitor comprises a gas-filled discharge device arranged to receive part of the electromagnetic radiation from the transmitter aerial and means to indicate changes in current through the device. The radiation may be focused on the space between the electrodes of the discharge device by means of a parabolic reflector and changes in current passing through the device, caused by changes in the degree of ionization due to changes in the intensity of the radiation, may be passed to a video amplifier and a p.p.i. display or to a video amplifier, integrator and meter.
