Abstract
809,126. Interference filters. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. May 23, 1955 [May 29, 1954], No. 14745/55. Class 40 (8). A low-pass filter for feeding low-frequency current through a screening partition, comprises two condensers joined by a coupling conductor which is surrounded by a body of high permeability (e.g. ferrite). The loss factor of the body, i.e. the ratio of the imaginary to the rear component of the complex permeability exceeds unity at the lowest working frequency. In the first construction (Fig. 1), the two condensers comprise dielectric discs a, b mounted at either end of a metallic tube c which is located in an opening in the screening e of a high-frequency apparatus. The outer electrodes of the condensers a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>1</SP> are connected to the housing c whilst the inner electrodes are connected to the coupling conductor d. A body p of ferrite surrounds the conductor d. In the second construction (Fig. 2), the housing consists of a tubular dielectric body f having an outer electrode g soldered to the screening n and.two inner electrodes h, i connected to metallic end closure members k, l which are also connected to the coupling conductor m. As. in the previous construction, the conductor m is surrounded by a body o of high permeability material. The feed-through conductor m is connected to the end members.
