Abstract

808,681. Roller conveyers. LOEWY ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Aug. 28, 1957 [Sept. 17,1956], No. 28377/56. Class 78 (1). In rolling mill installations elongated metal articles, e.g. billets or bars, are transferred from a roller table 1 to a similar table 2 arranged at an angle to each other by pusher elements on endless chains or cables 6 extending between sprockets 7, 8 and moving in guides 5 which make equal angles with the tables. A motor 13 drives the pulleys 7 through a series of reduction gears 14, the arrangement being such that the speed of each pulley is increased in accordance with its distance from the point of intersection of the tables.
