807,795. Photographic contact printing apparatus. MASON & SONS Ltd., E. N. Dec. 21, 1955 [Feb. 2, 1955], No. 36660/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 98(2) In a photographic contact printing apparatus having a transparent cylinder which rotates round an axially situated discharge tube, the cylinder is cooled by creating a flow of air or other cooling medium in one end of the cylinder and out the other and arranging baffles in the ends of the cylinder so that the flow is confined to the internal wall of the cylinder and the discharge tube is not cooled. The baffles may be in the form of cones arranged base first in the ends of the cylinder and defining an annular passage therewith, and air may be drawn through the cylinder by a fan. The cylinder may be made of synthetic resin which softens at about 80‹C.
