[Also in Group XXXII] Cup-shaped star springs, which press axially inwards on coned flanges 1, 2 of an adjustable V-belt pulley, are formed by separate radial fingers 11 of spring-steel clamped at their inner ends between flat rings 9, 10 secured together at single points by rivets or spot welds, one ring 9 having inturned tongues 12 between and spacing the fingers, and, if desired, also overlying the inner parts of the fingers and bent to their curvature.
