Abstract
802,812. Lens mounts. BAUER G.m.b.H., E. Jan. 26, 1955 [Jan. 28, 1954], No. 2324/55. Class 97(1) A lens assembly comprises a plurality of interchangeable projection objectives which may be selectively located on a motion picture projector each with its axis in an individual lateral position relatively to the projector. Thus each objective 10, Fig. 4, is carried in a mount 34 secured by a screw 36 to the end face 35 of an arm 9 which may be swung about a pivot 11 by an arm 12 to assist film threading. The lateral location of each objective in its mount, appropriate to the type of film to be projected, is provided by an eccentric sleeve 37. The lens mount may, alternatively, be formed integrally with the arm 9 which is detachably mounted on a longitudinal slide. In the form shown in Fig. 5, objectives 66 are carried in sleeves 63 of different eccentricities in mounts 69 axially adjustable for focusing by micrometer screws 72. The objectives are carried in a turret 56 rotatable in a ring 55, by handles 59, to bring a selected objective into use when it is located by a spring detent 60. The whole assembly slides on rails 46, 47 and carries the front member of the film gate.
