Abstract

802,120. Water channels. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. March 7, 1957 [March 10, 1956], No. 7585/57. Class 78 (1). Wax articles 16, particularly cast wax models for use in casting by the lost wax process, are conveyed from one group of workers to another group without deformation and are simultaneously cooled by floating on a stream of water contained in a channel 2. The channel is connected to a pump 4 by a pipe 3 which communicates also with the channel through a series of parallel pipes 5. Each pipe 5 contains a heat exchanger 6 which acts as a chill plate for the preliminary cooling of the articles. The pipe 3 opens into the channel below a grating 10. A discharge pipe 11 and a supply pipe 13 are also connected to the channel.
