Abstract

801,800. Automatic exchange systems. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Jan. 28, 1957 [Jan. 26, 1956], No. 3020/57. Class 40 (4). A single-motion selector GW which hunts in a group determined by the first received digit serves also to effect a discrimination dependent on the first two (or more) digits. In response to the first digit the selector moves to one of a series of rest positions HR1 ... HR10, say to position HR7. The groups of outlets Gr0 ... Gr9, however, are staggered in relation to the rest positions so that group Gr6 follows position HR7. The second digit stops the selector within this group and is also recorded in a mechanical impulse repeater in order to provide for the setting of a succeeding selector. The terminals of bank gwd are connected by marking wires to terminals of a discriminating switch AW, which, when dialling relay C (not shown). falls back, assumes a position corresponding to the first two digits. Relay Pz pulls up and the selector GW advances to the next rest position HR8. Relay Z now operates and the selector hunts for an idle outlet in group Gr7. It may be arranged that the selector takes more than two digits before reaching the group in which it hunts.
