935,700. Automatic exchange systems. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. March 14, 1960 [March 20, 1959], No. 8941/60. Class 40 (4). In an arrangement for connecting one of the incoming trunks E1 ... En to one of a hundred subscribers T1 ... T100, cross-point switches A1 ... A10 are each allocated to decades of subscribers, and intermediate lines such as Y11 ... Y1j giving access to a particular decade are connected to a corresponding row of the split multiple of a further switch B. The columns of the latter are connected to columns of a further cross-point switch C whose horizontals are connected to the incoming trunks E1 ... En. The combination of switches B and C form a group selector set by the penultimate digit only and the switches A form final selectors set by the last digit only. Access to the intermediate lines may be had by other such group selectors. The final selectors also act as line-finders for calls orignated by the subscribers, access to the selector switching train being effected over contacts such as a11 ... a1j. The cross-point switches may be cross-bar switches, crossed-coil switches or assemblies of cross-point relays. Specifications 797,913 and 904,463 are referred to.
