Class 100(2) An endless flexible printing screen patterned for use as a stencil comprises fine metal wires woven as a web which is cut to a selected length and the ends of which are inter-connected to form an endless substantially continuous warp-andweft structure, of a length equal to an integral number of pattern repeats. The pattern is formed by known photographic means, for example, the screen is coated with a film of light-sensitive solution of bichromated polyvinyl alcohol, which is dried and then exposed to light with a pattern applied to it, and the coat is washed with water, leaving a negative of the pattern. The screen may be 4 ft. 6 in. wide. The wires are of round section and the weave from 20-200 wires per inch. The ends of the warps may be welded together or the end wefts may be welded side by side, the warp ends being welded to their respective end wefts. The jointing may be done by any of the methods described in Specifications 350,541 and 483,590 [both in Group XXII].
