Class 100(1) A rotary duplicating machine comprises a counter pressure roller and a printing drum, two delivery members for ejecting printed copy-sheets into a guide and a plurality of collecting containers, electric or magnetic means being provided for setting control means for enabling delivered sheets to reach a selected container. The copy sheets are printed between the printing drum 1 (Fig. 3) and impression roller 2 and delivered between roller 31 and a plurality of resiliently mounted rollers 32, the roller 31 being driven by toothed wheels 54, 55...57 at a higher peripheral speed than that of the drum 1. The sheet is delivered into a channel formed by guides 35, 36. The printed sheet is then selectively diverted into one of a plurality of receivers 74-79 by deflector plates 69-73 which deflect the sheet from the guide into the selected container. The selection of an appropriate receiver may be effected automatically by providing the copy sheets with perforations or marks which are sensed by sensing members. The deflector plates, as 71 (Fig. 4) are operated by relays, as R3, which are energized in accordance with the position of the perforation or mark sensed by the sensing members. If e.g. the relay R3 is energized a locking lever 67 is withdrawn from contact with a lever 68 on the plate 71 so that the latter is pivoted under the action of a spring connected to the lever 68. After each sheet has been delivered the deflectors are reset by means of pins, as 88, on a link member which is reciprocated through a further linkage operated by a cam fixed on the shaft of the drum 1. A further cam on the drum 1 operates a switch to de-energize the relay R3 so that when the lever 68 is rotated anti-clockwise by the pin 88 the locking lever 67 is again in position to hold the deflector plate 71 in the position shown in Fig. 4. In a further embodiment, Fig. 6, the electric sorting device is arranged horizontally and the sheets are delivered thereto by belts 93 which, co-operate with rollers 32. Instead of the cards being sensed by the members M1-M6, manually operated control keys H1-H6 may be provided for energizing the relays R1- R6.
