Abstract

801,197. Moulding confectionery. MORTON, J. Oct. 9, 1956 [Oct. 15, 1955], No. 29458/55. Class 87(2). A solid or hollow sugar or chocolate article is formed in a two-part mould each part comprising a plaster base having a deformable layer 4 of e.g. gelatine, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene or a thermo-setting material. Locating dowels engaging holes 6 are provided. The mould is formed by casting the plaster around a first pattern which may have a roughened surface, then removing the first pattern and casting the plastic layer between the plaster and a second pattern. The pattern may be coated with a release agent e.g. a silicone.
