A wash basin 3 is supported on a wall or partition 4 by a plate 6 in a slot 5 held by bolts 9, each secured by a screwed nut 8 (and a washer) passing through holes in the plate and between two flanges 2 formed at the back of the basin. The bolts may be replaced by ragbolts built into the wall or by screws screwed firmly into the wall.
