Class 44 [Also in Group XXXIII] A canopy for an inflatable life raft has one edge which is removable for access, formed with two inflatable portions 26, 27 connected by a web 28. Two tubes 21, 23 provided on a coacting part of the canopy are connected together by a non-inflatable web 22 so that the tubes when inflated lie side-by-side in mutual contact forming a gutter 24, as shown in Fig. 6, to receive the transverse section of the opening edge. The longitudinal section may be received between the inflated tube 21 superposed on the gunwale 10, and secured to the gunwale at 25. The edge is attached by drawing the outer tubular portion 26 between the two juxtaposed tubes 21, 23 and 21, 10. Specification 788,338 [Group XXXIII] is referred to.
