Abstract

<PICT:0793619/III/1> A paint-applying roller comprising an inner core 1, e.g. of wood, supporting an absorbent layer 5 of paint-retaining material, e.g. lambs' wool, fur fabric or sponge rubber, has the periphery of the roller frusto-conical so that the part of largest diameter is shaped to roll in a corner. The roller may have two frusto-conical portions 2, 3 meeting at an angle equal to or less than a right angle. A handle engages one or both sides of the roller.
