Abstract

792,654. Electromagnets. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. June 28, 1956, No. 20006/56. Class 35. A constant flux, independent of variations in supply voltage and frequency, is produced by coils 6, 7 producing unequal opposed fields, the difference between them being maintained constant by supplying them through a saturated reactor 1 and an unsaturated reactor 2, respectively. Coils 6, 7 may have the same or different numbers of turns. If the frequency is constant the reactor 2 may be replaced by a resistor.
