792,267. Sheet-delivery apparatus. VEB PAPIERVERARBEITUNGSMACHINEN - WERK PERFECTA. April 14, 1955, No. 10765/55. Class 100(1) A rear stop for material to be cut in machines for trimming books, stack of papers or the like on three sides, with a transverse knife arranged at the operator's side and automatic discharge of the cut material from the rear side of the machine, is characterized in that the rear stop 4 for the material to be cut is capable of being pivoted by means of a parallel crank linkage, controlled by a cam drive available in the machine, from the region of the conveying path of the cut material in the upward direction, and is adapted to be locked until the cut stock has passed. As shown a stack 3 of cut sheets is aligned against the stop 4 and the stop 4 is rotated on links 6, 7 by the cam means to the position shown in full lines and is held in that position by a spring loaded locking lever 9. The stack 3 is then conveyed beneath the raised stop 4 in a direction away from the machine operator. The stack 3 depresses a lever 11 against the action of a spring 12. When the stack passes beyond the lever 11 the lever is pulled back by the spring 12 and a lever 10, pivoted to the lever 11, engages the locking lever 9 so that the latter releases the stop 4 which is thus allowed to fall back into position ready for aligning the next stack.
