794,435. Sheet-delivery apparatus. VEB PAPIERVERARBEITUNGSMACHINEN WERK PERFECTA. April 14, 1955, No. 10766/55. Class 100(1) A conveyer belt device in cutting machines adapted to cut books, stacks of paper or the like on three sides, having a transverse cutter arranged on the operator's side and with automatic discharge of the cut material at the rear side of the machine, is characterized in that the cut material is lifted and conveyed out of the machine by two or more continuously rotating conveyer belts which are moved from a position below to a position above the plane of the cutting table for the purpose of conveying the cut material. As shown a stack of sheets 1, after being cut on a table 2, is engaged by endless conveyer belts 5 and delivered in a direction away from the operator. The belts 5 of the conveyer project into recesses in the table 2 and run over a table 7 pivoted on the axis of a roller 6 so that on actuation of a cam 8 by a rod 10 controlled by the machine the conveyer is carried above the level of the table 2 to engage the stack of sheets. When the stack is clear of the table 2 it depresses a lever 11 against the action of a spring 13. The lever 11 on being released after the stack has passed over it, causes a lowering of the conveyer through the action of a pawl and ratchet mechanism 12, 9. Alternatively the lever 11 may close an electric switch to energize an electromagnet which causes a second operation of the rod 10.
