Abstract

790,819. Screw-sockets &c. UNITEDCARR FASTENER CORPORATION. May 11, 1956 [June 14, 1955], No. 14794/56. Class 89(1) A screw-socket 10, Fig. 3, for snapping- engagement into a panel-opening 12, comprises a central-portion 22 with spacedarms 26 extending therefrom on one side and provided with shoulders 28 and a screw-receiving aperture 24. A flange 32 extends from the central-portion outwardly and downwardly in the direction of the arms 26, to engage and seal with the panel around the opening. The flange-periphery may have a bead 34. A thread is cut in the aperture 24 by a self-tapping screw. Alternatively the aperture may be prethreaded. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 756,094.
