790,390. Adjusting radio apparatus. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 5, 1956 [Jan. 8, 1955], No. 438/56. Class 40 (5). In a control member for a turret-tuned television receiver comprising two coaxial knobs 4, 7, knob 4 controlling the rotation of the turret 1 and knob 7 the rotation of a fine-tuning capacitor 9, knob 7 is provided with a hole 10 which may be arranged to register with a hole 5 in the receiver housing so that on removing the knob 4 a tool may be inserted through the holes 10 and 5 to permit adjustment of the cores of the coils mounted in the turret 1. The knob 4 is a push fit upon a synthetic-resin member 12 attached to the shaft 3 by a grub screw and having a flat 13 which co-operates with a leaf spring in the knob 4 to provide a firm but readily detachable connection between the knob and the shaft. The member 12 prevents accidental contact which the shaft 3, which may be "live" when the knob 4 has been removed.
