Abstract

789,954. Loom dobby. TER HORST, G. J. M. 'Aug. 8, 1956, No. 24265/56. Class 142(2) A closed centre-shed negative dobby has sliding hooks 2 liftable by a pattern chain 8 into the path of a knife 9 which draws the healds to the top shed line. The tails of the hooks rest against a bar 7 coupled by a link 14 to the operating lever 11 so as to move in the opposite direction to the knife 9, whereby the hooks not engaged with the knife move to the right, as their healds are drawn to the bottom shed line by springs (not shown). The pattern chain 8 is advanced by a pawl 15 and ratchet wheel 16. The orientation of the knife 9 is maintained by a rod 10 sliding in a guide.
