789,655. Vehicle couplings. THOMPSON, R. E. June 8, 1956, No. 17723/56. Class 103(5) The ball member 12 of a coupling is secured in position by a bolt 11 which is insulated from it to enable an electrical connection 16a to be made from the towing vehicle to the trailer via the flexible leads 10, 18 and 20. The earth return from the trailer is through the socket 14 and the ball 12 to the tractor chassis 13 but a spring contact 21 may also be provided.
