Class 103(2) A vegetation parting and lifting attachment for tractors for use in row crop and orchard cultivation whereby vegetation is lifted clear from the path of the advancing tractor wheels to avoid crushing and allow unobstructed spraying or soil cultivation between rows comprises a shield 5 consisting of a pair of wings 8, 9 extending one along each side of the front and rear wheels 6, 7 of the tractor, each pair of wings being attached at their forward ends to a parting and lifting nose member 18. The nose members each have curved sides and top, a lower skid section 22 and a rounded lifting point 23 to penetrate the vegetation and lift it from the ground. Each shield 5 is pivotally suspended from the rear wheel axle 10 and can be lifted or lowered by a hand lever 27.
