Abstract

787,909. Brassieres. SLAZENGER, F. E. Dec. 5, 1955 [Dec. 3, 1954], No. 35093/54. Addition to 760,237. Class 141 The brassiere of the parent Specification is modified in that one of the outer fabric layers of the laminated sheet material forming the cup sections is secured to the medical sponge rubber layer only at local areas, either by adhesive bonding or by stitching. In a fur ther modification both of the outer fabric layers are secured only by stitching. Bonding may take place in parallel bands 5, Fig. 2, or in a meshwork of intersecting bands, or in spacer circular or rectangular areas. One or more additional plies 8 may be secured to one or both sides of the laminated material by stitching 9 in spiral or other form giving a quilted effect.
