Abstract
Alkaline earth metal salts of cycloserine are prepared by slurrying the silver salt of cycloserine in water, adding a water-soluble alkaline earth metal salt having an anion capable of forming a water-insoluble silver salt especially the chloride to the slurry, removing the water-insoluble silver salt which forms from the resulting solution, and drying the remaining solution to obtain the desired alkaline earth metal salt of cycloserine. Alternatively, free cycloserine may be reacted with an alkaline earth metal hydroxide. Specified are the calcium, magnesium, barium and strontium salts of cycloserine. The salts are stable in aqueous solution. Specifications 768,007 and 787,740 are referred to.
