A casing for a " glow "-type bimetal lamp starter switch 14 and its associated condenser 15 comprises a cap 9 and a base 4 on which the switch and condenser are mounted by stiff wires, the cap and base being made of highimpact polystyrene and being secured together by an adhesive or solvent, e.g. chloroform. The base has a " breathing " aperture and the cap has serrations 12 to assist gripping.
