Abstract

785,825. Agricultural implements. COLMAN, E. W. Sept. 20, 1955 [June 21, 1954], No. 18195/54. Class 6(1). A sub-soiling tine 10 is provided with a sharpened forwardly directed edge 16, the tine being formed from steel and having the edge 16 of greater hardness than the rest of the tine. As shown a layer 17 of hard steel is deposited on the tine by means of a known welding technique known as hard surfacing. Portions 18 of the tine may also have hard metal applied in a chequered pattern. Plates 13 are welded to the sides of the lower pointed end which is engaged by a removable socket held in position by means of a pin. Specification 785,826 is referred to.
