785,412. Vehicle seats. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Jan. 12, 1956 [Jan. 18, 1955], No. 1061/56. Class 52(2) A bench seat 8 with two forwardly folding seat backs 4 is mounted on front and rear links 22, 24 the latter being rigidly connected to the seat backs, and the lower ends of the links being pivotally connected to plates 42 mounted on sliding tracks 52 for fore and aft adjustment. The plates are capable of slewing on their bolts. 46, the front bolts 48 moving in slots 56 so that on swinging either seat back forward, the seat is forwardly displaced and at the same time slewed forwardly about the remote rear bolt 46 to facilitate access to the rear seats of the vehicle.
