Class 146(1) [Also in Group XVIII] In a filing device as in the parent case, the divider member 15 is pivota'lly mounted on the supporting member 10 for movement in its own plane whereby the effective depth of the member 15 may be adjusted to suit that of the rack 12 in which it is to be used. As shown, the member 15 comprises a flat plate of plastic material on which the designating symbol (6) is applied and the plate is pivoted on a pin 16 between lugs 14 on the member 10 which is in the form of a U-shaped spring clip to fit over the edge of the front panel 11 of the rack and having pips 13 for assisting the grip on the panel. The plate 15 has a projecting portion 17 which is positioned over the clip 10 when a narrow rack 12 is used, as shown in dot-dash lines.
