780,599. Gimlets. ASPREY, K. M. F., and SELIG, S. May 6, 1955 [Nov. 24, 1954], No. 33999/54. Class 83 (3). [Also in Group XXIII] A gimlet or like rotary tool comprises a handgrip 1 at one end of the blade or shank 14 and a separable cap 9 longitudinally slidable on to the end 2 of the hand grip remote from the shank 14 to provide a rotary connection therebetween, and a spring-blade pocket-clip 5 on the body. A lug 8 is adapted to snap into a cut-out 11 in the cap. The cap is a push-fit on the tapered end 2 and has two longitudinal tenons which engage slots 3 in the part 2. The cap is also a push-fit on a tapered part 12 of the hand grip, to cover the blade or shank. The leaf-spring 5 is received in a longitudinal recess in the tapered portion 2 and is secured at 6.
