778,411. Building blocks. LENDERS, H. June 14, 1955 [July 6, 1954], No. 19684/54, Class 87(1) A building block is formed with medial tongues B, C at its upper face and one end and corresponding but much deeper grooves D, E in its lower face and other end to provide horizontal and vertical air-channels in a wall built from the blocks. Mortar rebates F, G are provided at the upper longitudinal edges and at the vertical edges of the tongued end. In a corresponding corner block, the vertical tongue C is omitted and the recess D is closed at that end of the block; the tongue B may be shortened. A wooden strip may be embedded in the ribs B, C to facilitate the attachment of door and window frames to the blocks
