Abstract

776,299. Hand trucks. WELDING INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Nov. 11, 1955 [Nov. 22, 1954], No. 33737/54. Class 108(1). The lower ends of the inverted U-shaped handle 2 of a hand truck are joined by a transverse load carrying bar 9 supported by wheel arms 6 from stub-axle mounted wheels 8. Also rigidly secured to the handle 2 and wheel arms 6 are arcuate ground-engaging members 3 which in the position shown support the truck with. the wheelsoff the ground. Backward rotation of the handle 2 about the stub axles 7 causes the load carrying bar 9 to be moved rearwardly and upwardly to lift the load. The truck is shown fitted with clamp plates 10, 11 to engage paving slabs, &c.
