Abstract

774,214. Bobbin magazines for automatic looms. MASCHINENFABRIK RUTI AKT.- GES. VORM. C. HONEGGER. Sept. 27, 1954 [Dec. 1, 1953], No. 27807/54. Class 142 (2). A bobbin magazine, Fig. 3, has a container 1 for each column of bobbins that can be lifted out of the main part of the magazine for refilling away from the loom. In another form, Fig. 9, removable containers 17 travel down inclined rails 19 until they reach the front of the loom, where the weaver swings them down on to rails 19 ; an escapement mechanism (not shown or described) controls the containers to bring each column of bobbins in turn over a shoot 3, a flap 20 being swung to release the bobbins. In a similar arrangement, the containers travel along the upper rails the same way up as on the lower rails and drop vertically at the front of the loom without intervention by the weaver. In another arrangement, there are no upper rails.
