Class 59 [Also in Group XXVI] In a gyratory crusher having a crushing gap 51 formed between an outer crushing cone 1 and an inner crushing cone 4, the cone 4 has a lower cylindrical portion 33 forming a cavity into which extends an eccentric bushing 5 rotatable about a pin 10, the drive for the bushing 5 is covered by a transverse wall 40 of the casing, and a stuffing-box seal 44 is provided between the eccentric bushing and the transverse wall 40 and a similar seal 34 between the eccentric bushing and the cone portion 33. The space 39 within the gland 37 is supplied with grease from a device 38. The packing of each stuffing box consists of self-lubricating material e.g. granular graphite. The eccentric bushing has an annular portion 41 provided with a coneshaped collar 48 which covers the stuffing- box 44<SP>1</SP> and at the lower side of which the blade-like ribs 49 are provided. The stuffing-box 44<SP>1</SP> is further protected by a jacket 50, Fig. 1, at the outer rim of the crusher cone. The space formed by the annular portion 41 is partly filled with lead. When uncrushable material enters the crushing gap 51, the crusher cone moxes axially against the action of a spring 11 disposed within the pin 10. A spring-influenced feeding plate 29 is mounted above the crusher cone.
