Abstract
773,492. Food mixers.' SCHOTTLE, R., [trading as SCHOTTLE KOMM.-GES., R. April 27 1953 [April 26, 1952], No. 11554/53. Class 86 [Also in Group XXXV] A universal kitchen machine, for driving the tools of food processing appliances, comprises a base 1 containing an electric driving motor 2 the upper end of whose vertically disposed shaft 3 .is directly coupled to an appliance when the latter is located on the base, a horizontally disposed shaft 7 driven by the motor shaft 3, and a mechanical power take-off head 8 mounted in the base so as to be angularly movable about the shaft 7 to various fixed operating positions, to which head a further appliance can be connected to its tool to be driven via the shaft 7. The said shaft 7, driven through a worm drive 6, overhangs the base 1 and drives through either a worm gearing 13 or a bevel gearing not shown an operating shaft 12 which extends at either one or both sides of the head 8. A spring-loaded catch 11 fastens the head in its various working positions. The appliances driven by the machine are the tool 4 of a mixing basin 5, a stirring dish 14, a mixing or stirring tool 15 of a contamer. 16. and a mincer 18 (Fig. 2, not shown); the drive is coupled to the tool by placing e.g. the basin 5 on the base 1.
