Abstract
772,413. Blasting fuzes. DOERPING- HAUS, E. H. Nov. 11, 1955 [Nov. 11, 1954], No. 32360/55. Class 9 (1). Electric igniters 3 for igniting detonating charges 2 embedded in explosive charges 1 held in boreholes 7 by tamping 6 are connected to Lecher lines 8 which are shortcircuited by bridges 11, 12. The lines 8 have coupling points 9, 10 intermediate the shortcircuits and the igniters, the distances L1, L2, between the points 9, 10 and the bridges 11, 12 determining the resonance frequency of the respective igniters. One wire of each Lecher line is connected to an aerial A1, A2 respectively, the other wires being connected to a common earth El, 2. A variable high frequency generator G has an earth Es and an aerial As in circuit with a switch S. Thus by varying the frequency of the generator, igniters of differing resonance frequencies can be ignited. In Fig. 2 the generator 16 and the Lecher systems of the igniters are connected in parallel by a Lecher line 15 coupled to the points 13, 14.
