Abstract

772,253. Automatic voltage control systems. FIELDEN ELECTRONICS, Ltd., and FIELDEN, J. E. Jan. 21, 1955 [Feb. 15, 1954], No. 433C/54. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXVI] The amplitude of oscillation of a Hartley oscillator 10 is stabilized by measuring the voltage across the tank circuit 13, 14 by means of a coil 21 and rectifier 30. The rectified output is applied to a meter 17 the moving element of which forms a variable condenser. This condenser, in series with condenser 15, forms a potential divider in the grid circuit of the valve to correct the feed-back voltage of the oscillator. The output of the oscillator is coupled to a capacity bridge for measuring liquid levels (see Group XXXVI).
