A thermally insulated wall structure comprises spaced panels 11, 12, e.g. of metal or synthetic resin, slabs 13 of insulating material, e.g. fibre glass or kapok, between the panels 11, 12, and a foaming resin 14 foamed to fill the space between the panels 11, 12 and the slabs 13. The slabs 13 may have perforations through which foamed resin 16, 17 passes to key the structure together. An insulating spacer 15 may pass through the perforations. During foaming, the slabs 13, which may be precoated with the resin, may be spaced from the panels 11, 12 by cork spacers, which may likewise be pre-coated with resin on their interior surfaces.
